Taking a Moment to Recharge

Bayfront was a great time, but I'm not going to lie—it was exhausting! It's a full weekend of setting up, talking with people, and tearing down, so I was really thankful to have Monday to recover. My body was definitely sore and tired, so I made myself take it easy for the day.

Being a bit of a workaholic, "taking it easy" for me meant catching up on some backend tasks. I worked on my website and unpacked everything from the show. Now, with the Millstream show just two weeks away, I'm already in prep mode.

My next big project is to get my tent set up to check it over. With the wind we had at Bayfront, I noticed a few of the screws had loosened, so I'll need to go through and tighten everything. I also need to assess the tent for any damage and order replacement parts if needed. The tent sides got a bit muddy and, because I had to pack the tent away while it was still wet, one of the zippers left a rust mark on the white fabric. It's super annoying, but not the end of the world. I'll be looking up the best way to wash the tent sides—my first thought is to throw them in the washing machine, but I want to be sure that's the right move.

I'm so grateful for these two weeks to get everything sorted and to take a little time for myself before the next show. It's the perfect amount of time to get prepped, make sure my gear is in top shape, and also enjoy a bit of this beautiful summer weather before fall arrives. I can't wait to see you all in Saint Joe!
