For a while now, I've been dreaming up a new way to share my art, to connect with the community, and to simply spread a little joy. And today, I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that this dream has come to life! Welcome to the Lumps of Clay Studios Free Little Gift Shop!
You know those charming little free libraries you see popping up in neighborhoods, where you can "take a book, leave a book"? Well, imagine that, but for art! That's exactly the inspiration behind my new little gift shop. It's a small, white house-like structure where you'll find unique, handmade clay pieces from my studio, ready to find their new homes – completely free of charge.
What You'll Find Inside
Each piece placed in the Free Little Gift Shop will be a special offering. These might be creations with a small, charming imperfection that makes them truly one-of-a-kind, or perhaps an older piece from my studio that's been patiently waiting for the right person to discover it. Every item is made with love and is looking for a new home. Consider it a personal gift from my studio to you!

A Labor of Love (and a few missteps!)
Getting this little shop ready has been a journey! From ordering the kit to (eventually!) getting it put together correctly after a few humorous attempts, it’s truly been a hands-on project. I spray painted it a crisp white to give it a fresh look and even had a lovely little sign made at a local trophy shop for that perfect finishing touch. I also added a simple liner on the bottom inside to make it a cozy spot for its future treasures.

While the art is absolutely free, for those who wish to support a local artist and help "keep the kiln firing," there's a QR code inside that will take you directly to a donation option. This is completely optional, of course, but your generosity truly helps me continue to create!
An Evolving Experiment
For now, I'll likely be placing one unique item in the shop at a time, and the frequency will depend on what's available from my non-selling inventory. This is definitely an interesting experiment, and I'm excited to see how it evolves! Over time, I hope to add even more whimsical clay details to the structure itself, making it a little piece of art on its own.
