Tiny Bubbles

Luminaries are beautiful. I love the soft glow of the light. One of my first luminaries I used a drill. It was fun but seemed messy. The cylinder was thrown on the wheel. I found little circle cut outs for this one. I pierced the clay when it was leather hard. It was tough to keep up with how fast the clay was drying as I was working. This was a hand cramper for sure. I got a bit risky with putting so many holes so close together. Every hole has to be cleaned out at least 3 times. There is a lot of smoothing. I love this piece. It’s one of my favorites.
