Part 2: Catching Up & Looking Ahead (Website Revamp in Progress!)

So, what has been happening behind the scenes at Lumps of Clay Studios these past few months? It's been a whirlwind of activity! I've been busy preparing for a number of events, including multiple appearances at Homestead Artisans, and the upcoming Stone Arch Bridge Festival in June, St. Cloud Art Crawls and so much more. I've also been hard at work in the studio, creating new pieces and experimenting with new techniques. You might have caught some sneak peeks on my TikTok or Facebook pages.

But in the midst of all this making and doing, something has become increasingly clear to me: I'm not using this website, lumpsofclaystudios.com, to its full potential. And that's something I'm determined to change.

This year, as I've been pushing hard to get ready for the upcoming show season, I've realized just how much I've been neglecting my little corner of the internet. It's time to give it some much-needed love and attention.

One of my big projects right now is revamping the entire website. It's a bit of an undertaking, especially because, as many of you know, I don't currently sell online. Shipping delicate ceramic pieces is a whole other ballgame, and honestly, it’s just not my favorite. So, online sales aren't in the immediate plan anymore.

However, that doesn't mean this website can't be a valuable tool. My goal is to transform it into a much cleaner, more engaging space where you can:

  • Easily see my current work

  • Stay up-to-date on my upcoming events.

  • Get a better glimpse into my process, inspiration, and the stories behind the clay.

That's where this blog comes in! I'm committing to writing more regularly, sharing the journey, the triumphs, the inevitable clay-related mishaps, and everything in between.

This website is my online home, and it's time I started treating it that way. Thanks for sticking around (or stopping by!). I'm excited for this new chapter and for sharing more of the Lumps of Clay Studios story right here. Stay tuned for more updates!
