A Barn Full of Art and Good Company
What a weekend! The annual Fall Festival at Homestead Artisans was an absolute blast. Honestly, I had so much fun on Saturday that I just had to come back on Sunday. And you know what? It was totally worth it. It wasn't about the sales—it was about enjoying the good music, incredible food, and fantastic company. I even got a chance to say hi to a few fellow artists, which is always a treat.
If you've never been, you have to look up Homestead Artisans LLC in St. Cloud, Minnesota. It's not just a gift shop; it's a huge, renovated barn full of incredible art from over 40 local artists. Located on the edge of St. Cloud, the shop is in a rustic, over 100-year-old barn, and you can feel that history the moment you walk in. It's a truly unique creative hub and community space.
I've been lucky enough to be one of the artists in the barn, and I get out there almost once a month, every month, starting around Mother's Day. It’s set up as a series of pop-up shops, and each month brings something new. We even get an extra pop-up sale in November or December to get everyone ready for the holidays.
Being part of this community in the barn is something I truly love. I hope you all get a chance to come out and check it out! It's one of the only places to get your hands on my work without having to contact me directly. Honestly, by the holidays, I don't do as many shows or sales. By then, I'm already in the studio making pieces for the next summer and getting ready to apply for other shows.
That's the hard part about this whole business—not knowing how many shows you'll get into. But that’s a whole other story, and a post I’ll have to get into another time!
